Diver Stress Rescue
The Diver Stress and Rescue course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn how to recognize diver stress and how to respond. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

15 years old+
Open Water Diver
Completion of Online course prior to class start date
First Aid, CPR, O2 & AED provider training.
Completion of course forms - if you answer "YES" to any questions on the Medical statement, you MUST have a signed doctor's release before the start of the course

Personal Diving Equipment (may be rented): Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Wetsuit, BC, Regulator, Dive Computer

Course Overview
Step 1: Digital Course
Step 2: Classroom and Pool Instruction
In pool sessions, you will practice rescue scenarios including self-rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers and rescuing unresponsive divers.
Step 3: Certification Dives
Students apply scenario and rescue skills learned in the classroom and pool sessions in an Open Water setting. Students will complete skills and rescue scenarios during 3 open water dives at one of our certification locations.

Certification Options & Locations
Local (Coral Sea) Join us during the summer months at Coral Key's own private lake, the Coral Sea, less than 5 minutes from our store.
Blue Hole (NM) - Join us during the winter months in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, approximately 5.5 hours from Denver. (Additional $85 to the package price, and you must provide your own transportation, lodging and meals.)
Group Trip - Come join us on one of our instructor lead, exotic diving vacations, offered year around.
Referral Packet - This kit contains everything needed to complete your open water certification dives through another Dive shop at your travel destination.
Additional Information
Please understand that scheduling is important and has rippling effects if you change dates. Changing course dates within 10 days prior to the start of the original course will result in a $40 transfer fee, added to your course cost.
For students not holding a current First Aid, CPR & AED provider certification, SSI’s React Right certification is available here. Includes First Aid, CPR, O2 provider, and AED training and certification OSHA approved, State & Federal qualification.
