When it comes to liveaboard diving, many may imagine a luxury yacht with gourmet food and personalized service, all with a hefty price tag to boot. But, not all liveaboards operate similarily; in fact, some can be just as affordable (if not more) than a standard dive vacation. So, what are the benefits to liveaboard diving?

1. The Dive Sites

   It’s no secret that some of the best diving in the world can be experienced via liveaboard diving (Cocos Islands, Socorro, and Galapagos to name a few). Add to that the heightened number of dives you’ll have sites you’ll visit, and it can be just as economical as standard resort dives!

2. Convenience

   Many liveaboards nowadays have wonderful SCUBA amenities onboard, as well as areas to relax and unwind after a hard day’s diving. Add to that the usually fantastic meals that can be catered to your diet and it makes for a fantastic, no frills addition to your trip.

3. The People!

   Unless you’ve got the dosh to rent the entire Arenui all to yourself, you’re going to be sharing these dive experiences with others. Fortunately, those others are generally friendly fellow divers who love and want to experience the same things you do! Add to the mix that you can share meals and relaxing times together and you’ve got a recipe for making lifelong friends.
