But geez, what a luxury it is. It’s very uncommon nowadays to find fins with spring or bungee straps standard, but most manufacturers will have sets you can purchase in addition to your fins. Simply put, they’re the best things since sliced bread. No more fiddling with tightness, broken heel straps, uneven pressure, or busted buckles. With spring/bungee straps you now have a consistent amount of pressure applied to your heel. They flex and move with your movements, and most manufacturers make them incredibly tough. We’ve had divers at the shop wear the same fin outfit for decades with minimal wear and tear on these suckers.
