When it comes to friendly sea creatures, one of the first that comes to mind are dolphins. With their playful behavior and unmatched intelligence, it’s always a treat to see these creatures on a dive. Though difficult to keep up with (unless one is freediving and hopping in and out of boats constantly!), they sometimes will hang around on dives to check out us bubble blowers!

Dolphins have some extraordinary life histories. Did you know a dolphin calf can nurse for up to two whole years? That’s a strong familial bond right there. Dolphin pods can have up to 1,000 members! There are almost 40 species of dolphin worldwide and they can be found in varying climates and waters, one of the most famous being the Amazon Pink River Dolphin.
