Proper Finning Techniques - Which is Right?

When it comes to diving, you’d think getting in the water and swimming around is all there is to it. But alas! Every single aspect of your approach must be scrutinized - from the fins you wear to even their color!

We have the flutter, the frog, the reverse frog, back kicking, dolphin kicks, scissor kicks, sculling, and a wide mixture of all the above. And, with many aspects of scuba, this time it truly depends on your environment. If you’re in an enclosed environment with a silty bottom, performing a bent knee frog kick may be the best for keeping your feet up and out of the way. How about a strong Cozumel current? Then maybe a a full and fast scissor kick may be best to keep up with that dive guide!
