Why I teach: Prior to moving to Colorado, I was a police search and recovery diver. I wanted to continue to work in diving in some fashion, so I started my journey toward becoming an instructor. I love introducing people to diving and helping people conquer their fear of water.
Why I joined Coral Key Scuba: I moved to Colorado in 2017 and was looking for a new dive shop to call home. Coral Key was close to my day job making it easy to stop in after work. The first day I walked in, Freddy greeted me with such enthusiasm that I immediately felt at home and never went anywhere else.
Favorite Dive location: Fiji and Grand Turk have been my favorite so far.
Bucket list Location: I want to see it all, but at the top are the Socorro Islands and Indonesia.
Bio: I am a scientist by day, dive instructor by night, conference organizer in between, and adventure seeker in my free time. I am a child of the water and take any chance to be near it. In the summers you can often find me paddle boarding a lake near by. Whether you see me on, near, or under the water though, there is a good chance my rooster, HeiHei, is nearby. If you see us, say Hi!
