Deep stops, gradient factors, sidemounts, lost gas, bottom mix... what does it all mean?!

If you're an experienced diver, there's no doubt you've thought of making the leap into the realm of technical diving. But what exactly is "tech?"

Simply put, it is any diving outside of recreational standards. For some, it's cave diving: not having direct access to the surface above you. For others, it's deep diving: having a "virtual" ceiling of necessary deco stops.
