Get in the Pool!

Though us Colorado divers may only have half the year to dive wet (and even less opportunity for travel with Covid) there’s no excuse for not keeping those buoyancy skills sharp!

Where there’s a pool there’s a way. Think of it as a training ground. New piece of gear? There’s no better place to test it than a confined setting. Skills a bit rusty? Start in the shallow end and work your way down with your own comfort level. And when it comes to buoyancy, there couldn’t be a better training environment (ok, maybe some shallows in the ocean). You can use hoops, lead weights, depth markers and more to get those lungs under control. It’s even better with a buddy! Heck, even if you’re just itching to blow some bubbles and let off some steam, I can think of fewer places better to meditate…
