On Trim Positions...

When it comes to trim some will say there’s a science to it, others say it’s a matter of personal preference. In our Open Water class, most of us are taught that the more horizontal is better. While this may be true for static depth dives, what happens if you’re diving a wall? Or perhaps a cavern/wreck at an angle? It is all very situational. One thing is true for all positions, though: keep it streamlined! Whether it’s a dangling SPG that gets caught on the wreck or a loose camera light that knocks a coral, we are all better off by keeping our gear as streamlined and close to our bodies as possible!
