Tools of the Trade
Even though many commercial dive boats will have small service kits on board, it is never too early in your dive career to invest in some quality tools. Even a pocket tool can be as cheap as 20 dollars, and it could save your dive! From hex wrenches, picks, drivers, pliers and more, a quality tool can be the difference between a five minute fix and a ruined dive. If you plan on diving on your own, too, they’re almost a necessity.
Several manufacturers have their own types of tools for different purposes. For example, Mares makes both a pro and tech tool for different styles of divers. If you do dive on your own and already own several tools, these kits are pretty easy to make at home, too!
